A peer-reviewed, open access journal that sets a technical understanding of nuclear engineering beside analysis drawn from international politics, security, economics and society. Its purpose is to close the gap between those two bodies of scholarship and so to build the academic ground for nuclear and non-proliferation policy in Korea.
From submission through review, decision, publication and distribution, this site follows the time limits and the procedure laid down in the revised regulations.

Call for papers: Volume 4, Number 2
Manuscripts on nuclear policy, strategy, technology, safety and non-proliferation are welcome. There is no restriction on who may submit, and no review or publication fee is charged. Manuscripts are accepted at any time, but to appear in this issue a manuscript must be submitted by 12 September 2026. A manuscript arriving after that date is reviewed for the following issue. Even within the deadline, a manuscript not accepted for publication by 1 November 2026, which is 60 days before the publication date, is carried over to the following issue. (Publication and Submission Regulations, Article 3(4))

What this journal opens up
About the journal →Bridging engineering and the social sciences
Engineering subjects such as small modular reactors (SMRs) and nuclear hydrogen are carried alongside analysis drawn from international politics, security, economics and society. Questions in which technology and institutions bear on one another at the same time belong here.
Setting future strategy and policy direction
The journal seeks out timely and practical proposals: safety regulation for the SMR era, the role of nuclear generation in meeting 24/7 CFE (Carbon Free Energy) commitments, and reform of the nuclear export system.
Scholarly trust and research ethics
Every author submits a written pledge to observe research ethics, and plagiarism and duplicate publication are guarded against before review begins. The review standards, the time limits and the four decisions are published in full.
Exchange among researchers
Submission is open to researchers and specialists in Korea and abroad with no restriction, and neither a review fee nor a publication fee is charged. Engineering, communication studies and social psychology meet here over the same subject.

To receive the full texts by email or a printed copy by post, ask at Receive the journal; you do not need to be on that list to read anything here.
The Editorial Board Regulations require at least five editors, a majority of whom must belong to institutions other than the publishing institute (Editorial Board Regulations, Article 3). An editor who submits a manuscript is recused from every stage of its review. Names are given in the roman spelling each editor used in this journal. Where an editor has not published here, the Korean name is shown until a spelling is confirmed.

If the manuscript is then not accepted, the fact of its submission would stand on the record with nothing to follow it. Only articles accepted for publication appear in Current and Past Issues.
